there are no WSM's or SAUM's (though I do hanker after a 358Norma in a BRNO mauser). The above are based on Mauser 98 actions in Brno's , BSA, Parker Hale, Husqvarna, Century Arms and Remington 798 with the lone 1895 Marlin as the only modern lever I've got. Yup - I qualify as an old fart shooting what I'm comfortable with. cheers :)

I hunt with 30-06, 30-30, 45-70, sometimes 303 Brit. My newest calibers I use is a parker hale 1100 in 308 and a CZ550 in 300 WM.
 
I carry 30-06 mostly but I have been spotted carrying a 6.5x54 or an 8x57.

Suprising that calibers that are over 100 years old give up very little to more recent offerings.

I'm an old classic who likes old classics ... both the guns & the ammo.

Was drooling over a long tang Model 71 lever in 348 lat night that a buddy picked up and just had to show off.

The "newest" cartridge/gun I have is a 223 in a Model 700 Varmint.

Currently also use a 45-70, 35 Whelen, 257 Roberts & a 25-06.
 
Yep I shoot a couple of classics...I consider 270 winchester as a classic...84 years young. Shot my first Deer with a Model 92 in 44-40, presently hunting black bear with a 9.3x62 and still enjoying the 6.5x55 (Im letting a buddy use it for Deer Season) .
 
I built a 9.3x62 last year to be an iron-sighted moose rifle. And, of course, I have a 416 Rigby and a 30-06.

Hell, even the 300 Winchester is 46 years old!
 
Over my hunting years, I have used .303 British, 30-30, 8x57, .32 Winchester Special, 7.62x54R. I also have plans to use a .303 Savage and a .250-3000 in the near future. I have also used my wicked old Mauser 98 in 8mm/06, which is a sort of classic "wildcat" cartridge.
 
I used an 8x57 Mauser to get my very first deer. I've never had much use for anything "magnum" (except .22 WRF). My .303 British never leaves my side at the range, and I recently bought a 9.3x62 (those that think the 7.62x54R kicks too hard need to try this one...).

All older than 50 years - some up to a hundred years and filled a niche for decades until Remington or Winchester "invented them" in some new form
 
Most of the cartridges I use were around long before I was born. I also use some new ones. I don't select a cartridge based on nostalgia, I select them based on what interests me and also their performance. Some of the newer cartridges offer design improvements on their older counterparts.
