What action for .338 LM

These were Nesika tactical actions. They must have made a couple runs of actions with the wrong steel and the problem has simply compounded because they're a serialized gun part #1 and secondly because they're not made locally. I'm pretty sure I've never heard of anyone else that has had as much headache with their guns as I have but that's Troy Luck. I've already coined the phrase.

Thanks for all the input. I am leaning towards Barnard but I have a few questions? There website states the PL has a 24mm bolt with a sako style extractor but the bolt face plunger type ejector is a special order. Do I need the ejector and what is the smaller diameter on the bolt where it is cut away behind the lugs? There are 3 options for recoil lug Rem style, bottom slot in the middle and a spiggot and base. What one is best? I am not familiar with the spiggot and base does it still require skim bedding? Is the bolt handle welder silvered or 1 pc? Thanks for the advice.

I going to start buying parts for another .338 LM and want your suggestions which action to use. Rifle will be a single shot. I want a strong action with min .750 bolt with smooth reliable extraction. Availbility in Canada would be a plus as would parts for it if I ever had problems. I like the Surgeon you don't have to buy a picatini rail and the lug is part of the action. Any suggestions?

I was in the same boat. I decided on the Barnard action, Robert composite stock, 30" True flite barrel. I opted for the rail with the action, and it includes a very nice target trigger (I've tried one, it's decent). I'm not an expert on the action but they appear to be top drawer.

I put in a request for an action with an ejector. Apparently Barnard has had a number of requests for this and are considering a run. So I'm still waiting for their response.
