Same as Suther though we can still shoot slugs on the rifle range. When I wander over to the action ranges I’ll bring out the 00 buckshot and cheap target loads just to run the guns. Looking forward to your range report and updated pics.
Target loads being #7.5 or 8, typically used on claysYess I think I'm going this weekend if weather is nice. Can't wait to try out the red dot.
When you mention target loads, you mean those "target slugs" right? Or 00 buckshot but target load version? Also, target loads and low recoil are the same right? It refers to the powder amount?
Nope. Target load is a load of shot designed to shoot clay targets. Its typically the cheapest shotgun ammo you can buy, especially if you buy in bulk.Yess I think I'm going this weekend if weather is nice. Can't wait to try out the red dot.

Low recoil versions are normal buckshot (the shot itself is the same), but they are either at a lower velocity than normal or have fewer pellets. 8 pellets at 1200fps is pretty standard for low recoil, vs 9 pellets at 1300+ for "normal" loads, and you can get more velocity or pellets with "magnum" loads, Federal makes a 2 3/4" 12ga shell with 12 pellets @1290fps for example.Ahhhh okay thanks guys. I realise now I'm mixing up "target slugs" with "target loads". I get it now. Yes lol was wondering why the target load shells I was eyeing were so cheap compared to my bulk target slugs.
So for buckshot 00 low recoil versions, that's just normal buckshot but with less powder?
my shotty shoots ammyI got a pump action not long ago and just wanted to ask others what you all shoot when you go to the range.
I realise it depends if you clay shoot or target shoot and etc, but I'd love to hear everything.
