12 gauge challengers for trap 7 1/2 or 8's for singles and doubles, Handicap , #9 for skeet and 5 stand and #8's in 16 gauge when I can find them for trap and 5 stand, also 410 7 1/2 for trap and 5 stand like 16 when I can find them.
At the ranges I got to that do not have trap and skeet I use the challenger or score slugs as they are the cheapest I have seen. As for trap singles ( I haven’t tried skeet…yet) also the 7 1/2.
I'm not a shotgun expert by a long shot. My break action has a really hard time extracting winchester. I'm a federal fan here. Bought some Rio to try but haven't shot it yet
I have many shotguns but since I bought a 1301 it's the only one I ever use now. I shoot whatever is the cheapest garbage I can find because I just shoot steel and practice reloading.
Right now I have a few cases of challenger and maionchi, the gun can't tell the difference. But I'm not fussy.
