What Animals/Game have you taken with your 30/30

Deer and bear. Good short range gun although I know hunters that have shot game out to 300 yds with them. I think that the 30/30 shines at 100 yds and in. Nice fast targeting gun for pushing bush or tracking a wounded bear.

I've shot quite a few deer with mine. I wouldn't be afraid to shoot up to 200 yds. but they are excellent at 100 yds or less. An old trapper friend of mine has shot moose, elk, bear deer as that's all he ever owned.

Two deer and a bunny, and the bunny kept asking for it!! dam. thing kept running back and forth, then away and then back at me, never leaving 20 yards away while pushing bush, this went on for along time and I got feed up and said your lunch!

I have taken porcupine, skunk, bear, elk, moose, caribou, rabbits, seal, fox, mink, lynx, coyote, badger, a gopher, deer, one farm buffalo at 50 yrds..I may be forgetting something.

with the same gun Dad shot a lot of fox, hare, seals, a walrus and a few whales..

I just love the 30/30... and I mean love it !

I feel bad I didn't get her a valentines day card..:)

Took one bull moose and several blacktail deer with it. Used it as my Vancouver Island monsoon gun, those days when I could never keep a scope clear.

I too used a 30-30 for many years. I took a dozen or so whitetails, a few mulies, a black bear or two, 3 or 4 moose and an elk before I moved up to cartridges with a bit more "reach". Most of these animals were taken with 1 shot with the sole exception of a moose that took 3 or 4 thanks to my rushing the first shot and placing it badly.

Was given a Winchester .30-30 by my wife's uncle who wrote a book on Bullards. Needless to say he thought the 94 was junk and was happy to be rid of it. I wanted him to know it was appreciated so I brought it to Africa and shot an impala with it.
