What Animals/Game have you taken with your 30/30

A squirrel.

I have owned 3, A win 94, Win 94 AE (scoped) and a Marlin. I had to sell them due to financial reasons. BUT, I just heard I am inheriting a Marlin, the thing I like about inherited guns is that I can not sell them no matter how badly I need the money. I'll likely remove the red dot scope but I will keep it forever. Might be my wife's deer/bear rifle.

My inherited guns so far:
Uncle's PH Lee-Enfield
Best Friend's Stevens Single 410 (my go to grouse gun unless I have the dog)
Grandfather's Winchester Model 70 30-06 (is is still alive, will be 94 this year, I just wish he could appreciate the stories we tell him about his rifle, well he does but will forget it 2 minutes later)
And coming soon, Uncle's Marlin 30-30, not sure the model or anything yet.

First rifle I ever hunted with was a Marlin 336c, shot several moose and caribou over a space of 7 or 8 years. I sold it in 1987, which I still regret because it was the first rifle I bought with my own hard earned money.

Model 94 30-30 Winchester has taken at least a dozen deer and three and a half bull moose.

It's a great little gun in the bush and not too bad at a 100 yards but don't push it past 200 yards, that cost me half a moose, my partner had to finish it off with his 303.

Moved up to a 270 after that hunt.

If you area a fan of the north, or hunting from yesteryear,...you'll enjoy some pics I'm posting tomorrow evening.

Dad gets in sometime around 4 pm and I told him to bring whatever pics he could find and I think he might have the one of the whale pictures with the 30/30..
but not sure. It seems we can never find pics when we are looking for them, yet somehow they always turn up when we look for batteries for the flashlight :D

pic of the whale is here as well as a few foxes and a wolverine, seals etc.
The 30/30 Marlin in the pic was Dad's main hunting rifle, I use it to this day as my main hunting rifle...
Dad had to take temperatures and gather other inormation for Transport Canada while he was there as well.
The last pic is of him radioing out a weather report from Arctic Bay, Baffin Island. I posted the rest of the not so much
hunting related pics here http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=309649&page=7

Hosltein....put one down for a farmer a couple of years ago and a quick shot from about 50 yards (the damn thing was cagey) behind the ear did the trick in a hurry. And a coyote.
