What are Cooey Stocks usually made of? Walnut?

Does anyone know what a Cooey 39 stock is made from? Im thinking its walnut but im not sure.. I really want to try and get some walnut and practice staining it to get the finish right before trying it on an actual stock

as another side note: Has anyone had any experience with minwax cherry blossom? If so can you tell me your thoughts?? GF wants a pink gun and Im thinking of modding a Cooey 39.. she really likes the older rifles so i figured i would make her a unique one .. Thanks in advance guys and gals

Google "minwax cherry blossom" with images and the first few images you will see are guns done with it.

Early 39's were walnut, but the later ones are a hardwood with a walnut stain and finish.
