I am looking at one of these two being my first long range guns, and was hoping to find a little input on them.

Other than the DBM and the muzzle brake what is the difference between these two rifles? Well that and almost $200 on the price tag? Are they essentially the same mechanically?

The FCP-K also has a longer barrel and used the bottom bolt release.

If you want to upgrade the stock later to an aftermarket stock then the FP-SR would be a better option due to it's side bolt release.

If you are leaving the gun stock then the FCP-K is probably a better gun. If you are looking for a starting point to something else then the FP-SR is the way to go.

FCP-K is a great firearm. Stick with that. Some of us are waiting for some new stocks to come in for it. The AICs for one.

The current AICS Savage model won't work with the bottom bolt release. I'm not sure AICS is planning on supporting the bottom bolt release.
