Last Man Standing- or anything with Bruce Willis using one - he's one of the few actors who actually shoots a 1911 in real life.

- Mr. And Mrs. Smith: beautiful XSE, not to mention one of the best weapon selections in a movie. Personal favorite: M1A EBR.
- Face off.
- Gran Torino for all the purists.
- Resident Evil for the Para fans.
- Miami Vice for the Detonics and Tiki.
- SWAT for the Kimbers.
- Street Kings for the above and Smiths.

And even though it's not a movie, you have to love The Unit for every bit of beauty it has to offer.

Funny how most of my favorite are riddled with 1911's.

If memory serves me, you should check out the Real Glory with Gary Cooper Its set in the Phillippines prior to WW2 and has a scene where an American officer is killed because his .38 caliber revolver didn't have enough stopping power to prevent a Moro tribesman slashing him to death with a machete. That changed with the arrival of the Colt 1911 and is the reason why the US Military adopted the .45 ACP.
