What are my odds of finding a Marlin 1897 in Canada?

Hello all, I think I going to start looking for a Marlin 1897 Cowboy due to the "Marlin bug" coming around my place lately.

So have you guy's seen any lately or is it slim pick'ns on this side of the border?

I know there not made anymore but I believe Marlin discontinued them around 2000, you would think that thay would be some what more common.

2000?? Are you thinking the 39A/AS model, that is current.
The 1897 model was made from 1897 to 1922 only

That is one I havn't seen, I was thinking about the orignal.
I would think on that , could still be hard to find, If I had one , it would not get sold , mind you all the guns I have sold over many years where not for sale.

Would anyone know the best place to find a replacement extractor assembly for the 1897... my little son lost that part when we were out hunting last week

I beleave the gut's 1897 CB are the same as the 39a, so part's shouldnt be hard to come by. As for where, I dont know.

I have one and might part with it. I bought it and haven't even shot it because I found a mountie the next day and have been using that instead.
