what are the best shot size and chokes for...

Do you shoot over decoys, or as they fly past high up? Which species of ducks and geese? What gauge gun are you shooting? Will you be shooting steel or non-steel alternatives?
 
I use #2 or 3 for ducks and usually modified or IC. This works well

For Geese I use BBB and modified but I dont have much luck. It seems like they are just so tough you can hit them at even close 30yds and they still keep flying.
 
I use a light mod choke for both. My duck hunting is usually done on water with 3" #2 steel. And my goose hunting is in corn fields with 3" BB steel and the same choke. Never really have a problem dropping them stone cold dead!
