Hi guys!

I am curious what you guys think of various rail covers.

Can we order them accross the boarder, or do we have to stay domestic?
The covers are for a Savage 110BA rail array.

I assume your gun will be fired from prone and bipod most of the time? Why not just leave them alone? I like the way rails look so I wouldnt cover them up.

We have Knights Covers and Ergo Ladder style covers in stock.

Depends on your preference, size of hands and if you run a fore grip and acc. or not.

I want to cover them up to reduce the sharp edges. Thats all.

I am looking to have someone with experience to give me thier opinion.

Such as "they are too soft and rip off to easily, or they dont stay on, etc.

Anyone out there who can give an experienced point of view?

I like the LMT covers.... they slide nice, easy to remove, all plastic.

I never liked the way the Knight's covers worked for me.... but some guys love them.

As much as I like this suggestion I would avoid anything that adds more weight to your savage. I have the savage 10bat-s/k, and it's a tank!

Here is what I went with...
They are light, easy to modify for length and accessories, inexpensive, fit well and easy to put on and off, and eliminate those nasty sharp edges.

Just make sure to buy from reputable outlet, there is plenty of airsoft stuff being sold as real articles

Larue is the most compact and most flexible because they take up 1 rail space at a time.
Wrong.
Brownells ladder rails / Magpul ladder rails have a lower profile than the LaRue 1's. Although the LaRue 1's have easy on and off features and you only have to put on 1 at a time instead of cut to fit like the ladders.
Pictures below show the differeance;

But anyone who has sustained ample enough fire will tell you that the XTM and LaRue clips hold off feature is realy apreciated when the heat temp rises.
;)

your point about protection from heat is valid but the OP's intends to use it on a bolt action precision rifle. Weight and low profile is more the issue, as his rifle weighs in at about 17 lbs loaded.

Good point, maybe since it's a bolt gun as opposed to a semi-auto, the Magpul ladder rails may by more suitable. I personally like the XTM covers, but that's for my AR.

I just bought the rubber ladders if I need any - the prices for these covers are ridiculous. I do not know how kac can come up wit this 20 dollars plus price tag for a piece of plastic that is worth 50 cents of off the moulding machine. Making rail covers is like printing money!!!

It's because the active ingredients are Unicorn tears and Rainbows
