isnt that what im supose to do? i got my answer so no need for the post anymore to take up space on the forum.

No. It's kind of chickensh*t to delete information that might have helped some one else out, and sometimes it even helps prevent the exact same question from being asked here again. And again. And again.

You didn't actually save any space, as the post is still there, so it may as well contain useful information.

Cheers
Trev

Only for ads in the EE.
Once you have bought or sold, you change the title to DELETE, then the EE mods delete the thread entirely.

As trevj says, leaving your question stand allows others to learn from it.
(thats assuming others actually search first, before posting a new identical question....)
Anyway, no worries, I think we figured out what you asked from the answers.

ok sorry about that. my mistake. my question basicly was just asking what the "color codes" are for on the tips of mil surp ammunition. i came across a few boxes with like a semi-transparent/metalic green paint on the tip and it turns out they are chinese 7.62x39mm tracers.

See, I'm taking up even more forum room, with equally useless info. Wait, I'll delete this...

Does tracer ammo have any negative effects on guns? Do the chemicals increase wear or build up?

Projectiles with tracer elements in the base don't cause any wear on a weapon that a straight ball round would.

The element doesn't ignite inside the barrel but an approximate distance from leaving the barrels.
