Hmmm...

second year on my .270 Wby from Guntech, working on a bit lighter load for this year as last year's was a bit overkill - literally :D.

same scope on it (Kahles 2-7x36), same binos (older Burris Fullfield 8x42s), yet another year on the Danners (5 years now and just getting broken in :)), hope to use the GPS a bit more this year (sat in my pack most of last year), second year with the Leica 1200 Scan LRFs (used only once last year and read out at 277 yds before the one and only big boooom of the season). No new clothes, same camo as evey year though may just give 'em a wash this year so they aren't standing up on their own in the corner of the tent again. Same knives as last 4 pr 5 years now, Buck folder and custom drop point skinner.

Boy, new for this year? Hard to say really. Wife has given me the go ahead on a quad - will be my first ever and am hoping to have it by the season's open. Was all geared in on the Honda Rubikon 500 but have recently been enamored with the Suzuki King Quad 450 with the elec. fuel injection (vs. Honda's carb) and the independent read suspension (vs. the solid axle). Only Honda I can find with the ind. susp. is the Rincon 680 and the only ones with the EFI are the Rincon again and a Rancher 420 (no ind. susp. though on this one). Considering the KQ 450 is roughly going to be about $2500 cheaper than the Rincon (at least) I'm definately leaning towards the Suzuki. Tranny isn't as good as the Honda but it makes up for it in all the other areas from what I can see.

Oh yeah, also picked up a chopped 12 ga for a tent gun and a Rem 597 .22 for plinking. :D

This year will be the first for my Winchester Classic Featherweight in 30-06 (bought last year but didn't hunt with it.)

I also purchased a Ruger Red Label in 12 bore. Look out upland birds!

The other thing I plan to buy is a pair of Irish Setter Elk Trackers.
