Huh? You asked for "legalities" surrounding 14 round mags.
How is that different than "regulations"?
How is that different than "regulations"?
it's just a simple matter of restricting the follower so it can't go past the 10.5 round mark- in some cases, there's even a hole - all i did was put i a block in and rivet the baseplate shut
And so how do you take the mags apart for occasional cleaning?
I like to be able to take my mags apart for cleaning or eventual spring replacement. Last Spring I got a used gun that came with an older high cap mag that had a big dent in the front that was supposed to stop the follower from going all the way down. The follower must have worn over time because the mag would accept more than 10. I fixed this by press fitting a length of welding rod to the follower that fits down inside the mag spring. It's long enough that it bottoms against the base plate at 10.5 rounds worth of travel. So I'm legal and can still take the mag apart for cleaning. Something that you can't fully do with a travel limit rivet in the side or back of the mag that traps the follower.
