I shoot a lot of targets, and I love a light trigger. A few years ago I fired a friends AR-180B.
I found the trigger quite heavy.
Could some of you chime in telling me how light AR triggers go, & what weight they like personally.
Thank You for your time.

The lightest AR trigger I have is a Timney Calvin Elite 1.5 pound drop in trigger pack. Nice and light and smooth. If I pull a shot off target it was definitely not because of the trigger.

And I actually like having the adjustable trigger shoe position. I have long fingers and really like the ability to set the trigger shoe farther forward.

Lightened to the 3.5lb Range is normal for Action Shooting. Anything lighter will need a very disciplined and experienced shooter. Like mebiuspower said; the risk of an AD is too high.

I agree anything lighter than 3.5 gets a little tricky.

My wilson combat AR triggers are a tad under 4 pounds and thats enough for me.

I installed the 1.5lb Calvin Elite for 3 gun (will use it this year in competition). I have been practicing with it and ai have not had any issues - firing it when I didn’t want to. You need to have good trigger discipline in terms of keeping your triger finger outside the trigger guard to avoid any unwanted discharges which would get you DQ’d. Getting DQ’d for those reasons is the Shooter’s fault, not the trigger IMO. I also think that this is a competition trigger - not a combat or self-defense trigger.

Lightest pull I currently own is Elfmann flat 3 gun trigger, says 2-3/4 in specs

could just imagine a 1.5lb ! wow
