What are the thoughts on HK SL8?

I also never had the cracking problem with the BHO, but of course, I had converted it to take AR15 mags shortly after I bought it, so I don't know if that would fix the issue.

As far as I know, the issue has not been resolved and it likely won't be. The 3rd replacement receiver I got looked identical to the first two but I have not shot the gun yet as I am looking for a new scope for it. Time will tell how long this one will last before it cracks again. Funny thing is, some will last 1000 rounds or more and some less than 100. IF this issue is a concern for you I would suggest you buy a different gun. At first it was said that the cracking issue only affected the U.S. SL8-1 model because of the single stack mag and the bolt head cutout and didn't affect the SL8-4 model. But now we know that is not the case and this issue affects all models BUT is MORE prone to the SL8-1. Had I known I was going to have this problem with the SL8-4 I would never have bought it.
