What are these clips for?

Austrian M1895 clips for 8x50R and 8x56R ctg and M1888, 1888/90, M1895 and Hungarian M1935 rifles and carbines. M1888 clip did not have hole in side.
 
Hold on to them.They are becoming "hard to find" idem.

Hard to find is an understatement. I got very lucky and found a supply at a gun show several years ago.

Now the fun part, One day I recieved a long cardboard box. I had NOT ordered anything. A friend in the U.K. sent me the rifle for FREE!:D
Stinking gun laws over there just made it a pain in the arse to keep.

John what goes around comes around, so i'd say this story means you are doing something right towards others as rule rather than an exception.

Yes,I heard that those enblocs are impossible to find in many places in US.

I'm not sure about rest of Canada but i see them regularly on gun show around GTA.I'm looking for Gew 88 enbloc-those,even repros,are not around anymore.
 
I got some enblocs and ammo for free (dirty bird markings) from a kind member on the EE, and scored 3 Austrian ones still in the original packaging for $7 apiece at a gunshow awhile ago. I don't even want to shoot them off, I think they are more valuable as collector items.:D
