Hi guys, I would appreciate some information on values of the following, by some of you who are familiar with such things.
1) Ainsley H. Fox, 12 gauge SxS.
Not a collectors specimen, as the stock has been sanded down, flattening the checkering and the odd screw doesn't look original. But in good, sound, solid shooting condition. Barrels are marked Krupp Fluid steel, made by H.I. Fox, Philidelphia. Patent dates are from 1902 to 1906.
Serial number is 15217.
Could get pictures, if wanted.

2) Cooey 410, Model 84. Marked, H.W Cooey Machine and Arms, Coburne, Ont.
Look hard to find a mark on the wood, which appears to be good walnut. Mint bore and virtually all the bluing intact. No checkering, or engraving on the wood. Serial #48897.

3) Cooey 410, Model 840. Pushed in "checkering," with duck. A few travel marks on butt stock, but no dings or scratches. Mint bore and nearly all the blueing.
What do yu fellows think?

At auction yesterday in Creemore a 16ga M840 went for $60, and an M 84 20 ga went for $80 both Cooey, both Single Shot.

At that price I wanted to bid on them, but I live in fear of my old Lady.

Thanks, that is probably what they are worth in BC, also.
When you compare the two, excellent specimens, of each of the model 84 and 840, it is very easy to see the extra quality of the older 84.

The lowest grade "good' condition A.H. Fox should fetch $700 anyways, this is a US valuation from their auction sites......Ben

I think the Cooeys would fetch around $150 each around here if they are in really good shape.
I've seen Fox Sterlingworths go for $500- $650 so an A.H. Fox should go higher.

Struff....i think you should spend your time looking for a certain Maxus shotgun and not trying to lowball me on a one of a kind model 12 Trap gun.
