I have a 10/22 takedown for my daughter when she's old enough. Small light and low recoil.

Me I'm counting the days and today packing my gear for the best weeks of the year. Deer and Moose.
 
Forest management( cutting dead wood and snags ) on the back 40 with the old man . He`s pushing 90 now finally got the message to ask for help beforehand . Still couldn't help him self he, has to be right there in the thick of it ! Well on the bright side at least I can still do stuff with the old bird .

I'm trying to get our damn house into selling condition, to make a move to 300 acres. Been hacking away at this purchase for well on a year now. Time flies, when you're pressed for it.


Makes it tough to save up for a downpayment though, when ads keep popping up with all these great guns n gear for sale, haha! I've got Bullseye's G19 offer open in another tab, and I'm trying to talk myself out of it.

I need to get a back 40 of my own, so my dad and son can get out there (I'll be workin like mad, trying to afford it, lol!)
 
Hitting the Vedder River hoping to add a couple more springs (and maybe even a coho or two) to my freezer before the run is over.

Another 20 cords to stack, new chicken coop to build, re insulate the attic, boat to store, car to put to bed, lawn/ garden clean up, lawn tractor to put away, tune up the new(used) tractor for winter duty, vegetable garden to clean up, garlic to plant, daughters birthday, and staying on top of the service calls for no heat.
Try to get 2 rifles sighted in, idpa matches, find a cap for the truck and get the bed slider installed.

And if I can do all that while staying under budget.... a new rifle. Lol
