What are you going to use this year for SR Matches

I haven't shot service rifle before....but it would appear that at the shoots there is a service rifle and sniper rifle shoot that is out on?

What are the requirements/restrictions for each type of shoot? Are they elsewhere?

Thanks.:D

SR and sniper rifle are shot at different times, except where 3-gun matches are held (SR, sniper rifle and pistol). For match rules go here: http://www.dcra.ca/welcome.htm Then click on Rules, then on National Service Conditions Competition Rulebook

In order to participate in the matches, you have to join your Provincial Rifle Association though. They will issue you an ATT for DND ranges when you're a member so you can tranport your restricted firearm to the matches

Armalite lower with standard trigger, 16 inch bushy flattop uper with elcan and no free float tube. as for ammo I have no clue yet. some more of the ruag would be nice.
this combo has been working good for me.

tricked out Norico M14 with a Krieger heavy barrel, McMillan stock. Gonna use handloads instead of surplus Assie ammo this time as well. Gonna be a fun year :D

Ante

Fat chance of that rifle being in one piece this year...............;):D:p

SKBY.

I am going to be using my M1891 Mosin Nagant 1916 Sestroretsk.

Thats right, all you black rifle nutz...i'm not scared of you guys and your newfangled modern rifles....with your mags...and elcans....and vests....and brass catchers....and stuff. :p

Just remember, score isn't important.....at least I keep telling myself that.

Up until after the Nationals,, I'll be using a worn out, off-the-rack C7A1.

After that,, and at the Provincial Champs,, I'll be using a 16" Armalite.

Hurry spring,,

i hope ill do okay with the 14.5"

i need to go practice shooting with it more so Ray wont yell at me for not shooting it again haha!

ohh well. even if i dont hit anything ill still be happy.
i love shooting the match
plus i get school credits for it :D!!

Derek, you will do fine with the 14.5", you will need your dope figured out at 500m, I recommend 62 grain ammo as well, the heavier stuff is OK at shorter distances but drops severely from short barrels at that distance.
