What are you guys using for reloading presses and dies?

I use a Rock Chucker press and an assortment of RCBS, Redding and Forster Dies. I have the Redding Competition die set for the .308. Don't tell anyone, but I have a couple of Lee factory crimp dies for pistol cartridges.

I own a Rock Chucker that is clsoing on to 40yrs of age and still going strong. Acquired a Rock Chucker Supreme a couple of years ago and really like it. Used mostly RCBS dies. Started using Lee dies; like the collet dies. I had the same concern with COL varying by few thou each time. Was driving me crazy why and thought the die was the problem . Spoke to a chap at LEE who said check your bullets. I use a comparator ( it is great) and sure enough, the bullets are varying. Just like ### was saying. Guess that is why the serious BR shooters use custom bullets. The next dies I am planning to get are Redding. I like their features. There is a chap who builds custom rifles shooting guaranteed 1/4" groups in the Carolinas who recommends Hornady dies. So, everyone has a favourite. My 2c worth. Hope you get some answers from all of the feedback. :)

41 year old RockChucker used almost daily, RCBS dies mainly, RCBS powder measure(smokeless), Lyman BP. measure, 3 RCBS Bullet sizers/lubers, 2 Lyman Bullet sizers/lubers, only things Lee: 1-universal depriming die, and 1-universal flare die. PACT dig. scale,90% of casting equip. is either Lyman, RCBS, or Saeco. Moulds are Lyman, Saeco, RCBS, Hoch, LBT, NEI, Paul Jones, Antique molds by Ideal, Marlin, etc.

Old Rockchucker ( 35 + ) and everything else RCBS except a Lyman VLD
22 degree deburring tool. My first set of reloading dies were Lyman ... when I had my first custom reifle built, they wouldn't resize the brass to the snug chamber. Threw them away and have stuck with RCBS ever since.

before you go out and buy new equipment you might not need, pull out the seater plug from the die and try it on the nose of your bullets. If it does hit the nose check if it can be moved side to side before the ogive makes contact. This will tell you if the bullet is canting causing different oal.The easy remedy if it does is to drill a deeper nose into the plug.Or buy a new die and specify it is for very low drag (vld) bullets.
Equipment: presses hornady 007.lee pro 1000
Dies,lee,lyman,hornady,rcbs.whatever works

I load for 9 rifle calibers and 3 handgun.
For rifle I use either RCBS RChucker with various dies, like Redding, Redding Competition, Forester, RCBS, Hornady, Lee,Lyman all depends what I want to get. For my Mossin I use Lee, for my 6.5x55 or my .308Win use Competition Neck or full sizing die and then use Arbor press and Wilson die to seat the bullet.

As for handgun, I use Dillon SD.

Thanks

Reloading

For a press I use Forster Co-ax

Resizing - Lee collet die

Triming I use as Forster case trimmer, and hand neck turner

Outside deburring - Forster chamfer
Inside chamfer 28 degree carbide cutter from Sinclair

Priming - Sinclair Flash hole deburring tool, and primer pocket uniforming tool

Priming, I use the built in primer on the Forster press

Scale - RCBS charge master, I got really tired of trickling powder

Forster Ultramicrometer seating die

I just use the plain Jane. RCBS Partner press, RCBS dies, RCBS powder scale and a RCBS trickler. Oh the best thing I've bought is an RCBS funnel kit with a funnel adapter for tons of different neck sizes...very handy.
