What are you lefties shooting?

Hey cgn members.

I'm looking for input on a left handed friendly semi, I had someone at the range recommend the m&p line but would like your thoughts.

I'm right handed but for left handed shooting drills I really like my Walther PPQ and P99AS, and HK P2000 and P7M8.
All are very ambidextrous in their control setup.

I considered a left friendly pistol at first, but gave up on it, and learned to adapt, like we southpaws always do. I'm left eyed but shoot either hand, and don't really have a strong preference, so a lefty friendly gun is no longer a priority.

FNS9LS, fantastic gun for a lefty, fully ambidextrous controls and unlike some others, no need to reverse the mag release, great gun for the money and very lefty friendly

Throw an extended slide release on a glock and you'll be fine to use your trigger finger for all the controls.

That being said, the Sig P320 is currently my go-to

Forget the H&K P7's, nobody uses them for competition and they are sooooo overrated!
Left-handed shooters have the best skills & the best discipline since the right hand world oppresses us.

Buy a G17, buy the M&P 2.0, buy the superlative CZ Shadow2!

Not real pleased with "typical" 1991-style pistols. One of my thumbs tends to bump the tip of the slide lock/slide release (depending on your terminology) pin while firing, causing it to push out just a smidgen and lock the slide. I've had a couple pins made flush to the slide so not an issue anymore but something for you to consider. Obviously it doesn't affect everyone and there is an inexpensive fix if you really like 1911s...like I do!

My STI Trojan with ambi safety is probably my most lefty friendly pistol. I've never run into the problem NVShooter is talking about.

In case anyone is wondering if an M9A3 is lefty friendly- it is not. I bought one to find out, and learned the hard way.

The CZ85 is often mentioned as being LH friendly. If polymer is your thing the Grand Power pistols are ambidextrous as well.

S and w SD9ve is fairly lefty friendly since there is no safety and the Mag release and slide release are no problem once you're used to it.

I shoot left and have a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow with the mag release changed over.
