Please post whatever you'd like to see on a tactical stock. It can be anything from bells and whistles to the actual shape. And also what kind of money do you figure a fair price is?Is everyone happy with thier HS's,McMillian's and Robertson's(the big 3).

It Needs to take detachable box mags. Easily obtainable and reliable.
As an example: I have a Savage 12VLP in .223 with a 1:7 twist barrel. If this thing could take a stretched 10 round AR mag, I'd be very, very happy. You think G.V. would be up for something like that?:D

I am happy with my McMillan A-5, also have an H-S HTR as well but still prefer the A-5. It is the most comfortable stock I have used, the options are endless. Look at other tactical stocks, Robertson, Manners, you would swear you are looking at McMillan/H-S hybrids. This is my opinion of course.

Even for a single shooter, the stock needs to be adjustable for length of pull to allow for the weight of clothing we wear throughout the year. There should be a cheek piece that is adjustable for height, and I prefer the internally adjustable style as opposed to the saddle style. I like to see a rail under the forend to facilitate the bi-pod and a hand stop. A rear swivel stud is essential and the front swivel should attach to the bi-pod mount.

a monopod built into it, a good strong mount for a decen bipod, flat forend for bags/rests, lightweight, but strong. box mag (obviously). aluminum chasis would be good too.

to add to my post above, kinda like the tubegun kit but a bullpup uses AR grips, and like fangboy said a good built in Monopod that can go flush(not folded) when not in use,I would stick to a normal bipod mount or a 1913 rail on the mounted to a flat bottom forestock,I am finding I use a bipod less and less and I have been useing a Tripod for field use

and a good mag system is a must!

I just want a shorter rifle(I have a gun in my Jeep at all times) so the smaller the better!

I'm still pretty new at this, I post anyways: I like the AI chassis but would like to see it with a magpul target grip. I would also love to see an extra magazine cut out in the rear of the butt. (Steyr scout style) It would be nice to have a second mag attached right to the rifle.
I think all this can be achieved on an alum chassis.

Ryan as you are a Tactical Precision Rifle shooter yourself I thinks that keeping the weight down is important do we really need stocks that weigh as much as the rifled actions do ?.Length of pull and cheek height adjustment are required for proper fitment . Have your stocks set up to use different magazine conversion kits like V Bull ,Badger as an option. Do like McMillan does you can order a custom stock that features an A5 Buttstock with an A 3 forend

My preference is the AI 2.0. Fit and feel is fantastic, has detachable magazine and the rear folds and can fit into smaller gear bags if set up with a nice 20", say an LTR or 700SPS Tactical.
