What are you running for red dots on your shotguns?

I've been running a Trijicon RX01NSN on my slug gun. It was easily zeroed at 50 then 100 meters, and 100 rounds later is holding up perfectly fine.

Lots of great responses. I put a Holosun 509t on my bush gun but I've only ever practised with it at the range. Nice to see it's a viable option.

I’m currently trying out a Burris Fastfire 4 on my A400.
First impression is I made a good choice, but will need to tinker with it a bit more.
the bead had no problems.

They cause problems depending on how you load your gun. I rotate the gun over to load weak hand doubles/quads, and the speed bead gets in the way.

Good point, I hadn’t thought about it. I load strong hand, stock on the shoulder, slowly and clumsily. With that technique (or lack thereof), it should not get in the way, but we’ll see in a couple of weeks, if Stoeger Canada doesn’t eff up the shipping.

That just might be the first time I’ve ever seen a bipod on a scattergun. And a semi, to boot!

The gun is just resting on the bipod for pics. I photographed all my guns that day and used the bipod rather than laying them on their sides.

Couple years ago, Al Flaherty's had Bushnell TRS-125's on sale for $150 so I bought one and put it on a Dominion Arms Grizzly 12g.
I didn't expect all that much out of it but am actually happy with it as a low cost red dot.

Comes with low & high mounts and has two rail clamp screws.
About 50 3" slugs fired, has held zero just fine.
The scope caps that came with it could be improved on but that's minor.

I’ve got a Leupold delta pro and a Trijicon SRO on 2 benelli m4. I really like the delta pro, and I’m still getting used to the SRO.

Holosun 407c 2 moa red on a truglo rib mount way out on muzzle end of a 28” barrel. And a Holosun EPS with green mrs reticle on the cut out at back end of receiver of new Mossberg 940 pro.

The red flares pretty bad for me but no issues with 2 moa way out on end of a long shotgun it’s still small enough dot even flared. Fov is not a thing with this mounting position, there is no fov really. You have a dot inside a really big black square ring so to speak.
The green mrs on the mossberg is amazing, and the full size window of the EPS (not compact ‘carry’ model) means fov is a thing but being so close to your face it’s huge bright fov and very easy to find and keep dot. The green mrs reticl in this location gives me no astigmatism flare, and prefer the 32 moa circle only as thats 16” at 50 or 8” at 25 but it’s a buckshot slugs set up...for a bird set up I’d probably switch the reticle to the dot only? Maybe not? The circle is a great representation of the pattern so it would need experimenting without on some clays to decide.

They are both solar and can be run without their batteries but do have battery for night duty etc. Plus shake awake and manual modes etc. Holosun is some top gear. Small and lightweight, worry free eith solar.

forgot to add the EPS on the mossberg 940 cut out is 1" from center of bore to center of optic...no lifting your head required, no stock comb raising solutions required, more companies will likely be scrambling to copy mossberg on this...well played

my Beretta a-301 with the truglo rib mount and 407c is 1.5" from center of bore to center of window...on this shotgun I had to add one of those padded butt stock thingies with the pocket on the one side and a couple strips of material under it to get the cheek alignment as it should be for fast shotgun work....very pleased with both set ups, can't imagine some of the set ups that look to be higher than that and how much work it would take to bring about natural alignment

removing the cut out on the mossberg and installing the EPS only added a 1/2 oz to the gun also, you do not notice you have a great red dot on the thing, the rib mount with 407c on the Beretta as probably more like 2.5 oz added but feels nice out there on the end of the barrel

I know this is old but I recently bought a 1301 tactical. Is there any way to remove the ghost ring and pic rail and mount a vortex venom? I’d like to get it as low as possible. I wish they had a cut out like the 940 moss.

Replace with aridus mount if the vortex venom is the same mount pattern as one of their options
