What are you running for red dots on your shotguns?

I know this is old but I recently bought a 1301 tactical. Is there any way to remove the ghost ring and pic rail and mount a vortex venom? I’d like to get it as low as possible. I wish they had a cut out like the 940 moss.

There are lot's of options for optic mounts for RMR foot print but I don't know of any for Venom/Doctor foot print for 1301.
EGW has a universal with .670" radius, would likely work fine.

No love for Burris Speedbead mounts?

They cause problems depending on how you load your gun. I rotate the gun over to load weak hand doubles/quads, and the speed bead gets in the way.

Good point, I hadn’t thought about it. I load strong hand, stock on the shoulder, slowly and clumsily. With that technique (or lack thereof), it should not get in the way, but we’ll see in a couple of weeks, if Stoeger Canada doesn’t eff up the shipping.

Update: the Speedbead has arrived. The A400 mount fits the 1301 Comp. The FastFire RDS sits low and co-witnesses with the front/rear beads. The mount does not seem to get in the way when quad loading strong or weak yet - I'm still learning, lol. With 1301 Comp + RDS, I shoot significantly faster than with Benelli M2 (rib/bead).

Edit: to the person above, Speedbead mounts accept any Docter footprint RDS, so the Venom should work. There's Fathers Day sale at Stoeger Canada right now.
