What are your favourite mods to the SKS?

Because they are made in china. The Chinese have a bad reputation for poor quality and poor craftsmanship. Just look at a coat made in china compared to one made it Canada. Same thing look at a ross rifle compare it to a Chinese rifle the canadian will win every time.

These were built to protect their country not to sell cheap to foreign markets. They got the tooling from the Russians. They did not make these cheaply. The changes they made to production would probably have been made by the Russians as well had they continued to produce them for decades. The pinned barrels etc. saved costs, easier and faster production but they perform just as well or better than the Russian guns. Some of the experimentation failed such as the stamped receivers but they also stopped continued production of these when they realized they didn't hold up. Those that they did produce for military use perform fine.

What proof do you have to back up your statement that a Chinese SKS is performs as well or better than a Russian made SKS?
 
Cheap modern day Chinese retail products cannot, and should not be compared to everything that country has ever manufactured. Especially military arms. That's just blind stereotyping.
My Type 56 also shoots more accurately than my 1950 Tula. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
 
Chinese SKS's are just as high of a quality as Russian. They were built for the military which requires a high standard of craftsmanship and precision. Chinese doesn't mean cheap and crappy, and they will shoot just as good. Those who think otherwise are ignorant and poorly informed and can kiss my butt.

That explains why the Chinese SKS costs much less than a Russian used SKS. That is just crazy talk Chinese everything is junk compared to and thing else the same made somewhere else.

I have owned Chinese and Russian SKS rifles and I got rid of my Russian ones. The Chinese ones I have owned shoot WAY better. Your second statement is the statement of the retarded. Pretty well everything now days is made in China. EVERYTHING.

Not everything is made in china just the junk. That's why it is priced less it is JUNK!

You should try and sell that used Chinese rifle coog luck. They pile up in the pawn stores. A used Russian will sell in minutes. It is quality and has some history.
