What better way to spend an anniversary? BIG pics, not dial up friendly!

This has been 15+ years in the making Riden and it has been a struggle too. If you are getting her out shooting you are off to a great start.
Christy went hunting a few years ago but then she wasn't very excited about walking. I have to walk or I freeze real fast. She didn't want to be left alone in the bush while I wandered so instead of me bending to her needs she got tired of me and quit hunting. Lesson learned, newbies don't always have to hunt the way you want too. Be patient and make it fun for her. Hope she gets keen on it!

She has worked hard to get in shape and I am very proud of her. Her goal is a cow moose this year and maybe non-trophy sheep next year if we figure which zone to put her in for. She even asked if she could shoot a whitetail this year. I think I am in heaven!

Noel,

Beautiful gal, beautiful scenery, beautiful day: great way to celebrate! Gramma and Grampa had fun too, i'll bet.

Marg and I just celebrated our 40th. Stay with it. It just gets better!

Ted

Congrats to you and Caroline Jarrod! It sure goes fast doesn't it!
Take her to the Den for supper, and then haul her out to chase bear after too. If she wants a Muley mount over the fireplace she won't mind chasin a bruin either.

My knees are giving me grief too. Slow and steady wins the race. Mind you another guy beat us to the top. He only sat there a half hour so I figured something might pop out after he left. No dice.

Are you heading out to your honey hole this year?

Updatelee, it is a great view. I wish I had taken up this mountain hunting about 15 years ago.

Noel

Honey hole, now that's funny!

I'm hanging a tree stand just up the road so I'll keep my eye's open for Christy's moose. Happy Anniversary!

Noel, congrats on the 10 years of marrriage. Any wife that will go out scouting for sheep with you on the 10th anniversary, is .... well a keeper my friend. You best hang on to her and treat her to a nice supper and maybe some girl stuff. :D

Maybe the gals/Tod can help out here but what is 10 years? 16 guage??

We've been hashing that over some, wanting to get eachother a gift. I mentioned booking a meeting at Martini&Hagn's shop and funny, the conversation changed rather quickly.
You know what she would like is to go for a moose hunt with Ted up yonder. Hmmmmm....

Tree stand huh? So you must be after my Mule Deer. lol

gitrdun, I agree. She's a keeper for sure. Thanks for the best wishes!

Looks like the best possible way to spend an aniversary, out hunting. My finacee doesn't hunt (yet) so we planned our wedding for june 21 (yes, 6 days after the spring seasons close) don't let her know, but it was no coincidence:D

Hmmmmm is right! Marg would probably have something to say about that! :D

Ted

Not to worry Ted, I would be happy to shaparone, and be the gun bearer.;)

220Swifty, your getting married on my wife's birthday!:D That's funny you booked it around hunting season. Ours was July 5th. I tried to plan the kid's arrivals inbetween seasons too.
