What brake / flash hider do you run on your <12.5" guns?

What brake / flash hider / other is everyone running on their 7.5", 10.5" and 12.5" guns?

If I run a brake, will it significantly increase the amount of noise the gun makes?

Noveske KX3 on a 10.5". Never run the gun without it though so can't comment if it makes it louder.

I have never had any muzzle device other than an A2 on an AR. I have shot plenty of others...never bought any of them.

Maybe try youtube muzzle devise test. I wish canadian laws were different. Any flash hider/ comp that lowers the Db I think more than 3Dbs is classified as a silencer. I'm a wimp when it comes to shooting and wear both plugs and muffs. With a silencer, I could get away with just one I bet.

I just use a plain old A2 on my 10.5. I love muzzle brakes but I also love attending rifle classes and I don't want to be the guy shooting the howitzer and ruining everyone else's experience. If I shot with a 14" or longer I may use one but the shorter barrel lengths are just too concussive to everyone but the shooter.

are you sure you don't have a can of WD 40 and a match at the end of your barrel?
