What brand of ammo do you prefer?

PRVI...
They make commercial ammo for all the rifles I shoot - and my mosin PU loves their 7.62x54r food.

At a recent gun show my father in law saw a baggy of PRVI 44mag ammo for $15. he offered the guy $10. The guy says "Oh, these are from Europe, they're premium, high quality bullets. They should be marked higher then that, you're getting a deal at $15"

My FIL looks at him and says, "Theyre from Serbia, like me, and they're made for pennies. I'll give ya $10"

The guy accepted $10, lol.

I use whatever is at hand, and usually buy if on sale or clearance. I scored big on several boxes of .32 Winchester Special at CT for $7-8 a box on clearance. I reload for nearly all except rimfire.

Hornady TAP, i have been unable to match its performance with handloads. Its that good in a wide variety of firearms.

.204 - can't match velocities with handloads - hornady factory
6.8 - remington open tip match 110 - or handload w/ hornady 110 gr

the rest are handloads.

I buy federal all the time and have had good luck, don't know what else they do but my theroy is they don't make guns so the can concentrate on making decent ammo. I shoot the orange boxes and sometimes fusions and can usually find a load that the rifle likes. I did buy some hornady superformance too but haven't launched any yet.
