what brand of automatic powder dispenser do you have??

I have the Hornady auto unit and it works ok. With a course powder like IMR4895, it does the odd time overcharge and you have to remove some or start over. Overall its a good unit for the money and big time saver over my old method of powder dump and scale.

I started with lee scale, then rcbs 5-0-5 scale, now a chargemaster.... man did I ever waste a lot of time with the manual scales...

Bite the bullet and get a charge master - anywhere from 275 (usa) to 500 depending where you buy - and no, its not on the 'homeland security blacklist'

you won't regret, it will make you smile!
Mine will dispense and measure a load in the same time that it takes me to dump the powder in the case and seat a bullet

I have a RCBS .It has never given a problem.2 of my buddies had them as well.Theirs crapped out RCBS told them to smash them and send in the photos. Before they did they switched the front units from one to the other. Now they both work.So if you have one giving you grief .Separate the two halves and clean the contact pins and use some dielectric grease on the contacts.Price wise I would try the Hornady .The one I tried was great.

Hornady LnL AP - for bulk amounts of ammo, after I've found my powder charge. love it.
it's alittle slow at times, but meters to within 0.1 gr

for load development I use a manual lee safety scale & dispenser.

I have a Redding 3 BR powder measure and using that in conjunction with a trickler. Its just as fast as a electronic unit, which seems to be more moody than you know what.
I dump the powder just under the charge weight and trickle up to what I want. I tried this against a chargemaster and was just as fast and more accurate. Another option to think of but the chargemaster seems to be the way to go as far as automatic dispensers go.
