I've got a Remongton 700 LVSF on order. I want to hunt crows, G-hogs and 'yotes with it. I've never had a Remington or other 1-14" twist gun and don't know what bullets would be suitable. 350 yards would likely be the longest shots I'd take with this gun. I'd like to make everything south of 300 yards would go down. How would 40 grain V-max's do? I've had good luck with 55 grain V maxs out of my old .22-250 that I shouldn't have sold:redface:
Thanks, this is my first post. Later, Rob.:sniper:

Not much to say. For what you want to do either bullet will work great. I like to use 55gr for yotes but like I said either will work. 1-14" twist is generaly good for the lightest bullets up to the 55-60gr range max. What make and twist was your old gun?

Well, fouind out today the gun isn't in stock andwon't be arriving. What will I order now??? Want a lighter, non-giant barelled 22-250 thats accurate...

The 14 I had REALLY REALLY liked 40 VMAX's. For the smaller varmints, they worked better than the 55's, too (more speed = higher RPM = more torque = more gopher acrobatics)
