i have a .270 WSM and i think it has plenty of kick. i was wondering if there is another caliber that would work for elk and deer that does not have as much kick and is easy to reload for.

Find the brand you like and then google it and look up all the diffent types of bullets in the 270 calibre. their is a tonne of great info on all the manufactures sites that will save you from going wrong. worth the time.

Keep the 270, it is a fine elk rifle. Add a 45-70 to your collection shoot it a lot and then your 270 will seem milder. Its a win win

7mm-08. or a 25-06 with a good bullet and threw the ribs and you'll be fine.Check out chuckhawks recoil chart.

30-06 with a 180 accubond bullet with H4350 pushing it is the best elk killer
