What caliber for wolf without too much fur damage?

6.5x55 95 gr vmax legal everywhere in Ontario. very lethal and soft to shoot.

Another vote for 243 for specifically hunting wolves. If you are over bait and can pick your shots a light fragile bullet and body shots, if they could be all angles and running something in the 90 gn class works better.
