what caliber to choose?

I don't understand the AI craze. If you want more power from your 223 go a step up like 22 250 or 243. The AI stuff is overrated and doesn't feed well unless you have a single stack mag.

AI is all about being able to get more performance from what you already have in terms of bolt face and brass. Personally, I don't use magazines for anything except hunting because of the bullets I use.

If you try and rationalize why one cartridge has more appeal than another, you'll go nuts. Trying something different and then defending your choices to the bitter end are what this whole forum thing is all about.

Had a 220 swift, loved it, have friends with 22-250 they love em.
But my favourite is the 6 BR shooting 105-107 gr bullets, stupid accurate.

And I call b.s. on the barrell burning idea, I put thousands of rounds through the swift at an average of 4350 fps. and it still shot 1/4 moa when I sold it, I had a good barrell not one of my grandfathers guns.

oh ya 220 swift or 22-250 or 243 shoot like a laser beam. And barrel burning is just a good reason to buy an other gun:)

had my mind set on a .223 but saw this nice cz 550 varmint at the gun store.
It only comes in 308 and 22-250.so today I ordered the 22-250.I can't wait, hopefully I'll get it before christmas!

Amen brother!!!

Of the 3 rounds mentioned I would go with the 204 personally, can't really go wrong with any of them.
