Black Bear? 375 - 375 Win with the 35 cal a strong consideration (358 Win)
Have used 30, 338, and 375 cals
Brown Bear? 9.3/375 - 9.3x62 or 376 Steyr
Have used 338 and 358 cals on grizzly
Elk? 338 - 338-06
Have used 6.5, 270, 7mm, 30, 338, 358, and 375 cals
Moose? 338 cal - 338 Federal
Have used 6.5, 270, 7mm, 30, 338, 9.3, and 375 cals
Bison? 9.3 - 9.3x62
Have used 30 cal, 338 and 375 cals
Mountain Goat? 7mm - 280 Rem

I will say that I have used the 7MM STW on more species of game than any other over the past 38 years, but this is due to the rifle; an extremely accurate LH custom Sako AV that has been a pleasure to shoot, carry and hunt with!
Was it the best cartridge for all game in all circumstances - probably not, it has accounted for a whitetail at 15 yards and a mtn goat at 30, and it also accounted for a 7x7 elk at 475 yards, and a host of game in between. So in the end, it worked just fine, as it was the firearm in my hands on those occasions!
