What can you tell me about the crate I just bought?

Stopped by a surplus store on my way to the in laws and found this. Paid $50 and think it will make a good coffee table in the man cave. Looks russian, possibly SKS crate? Interested to see what you guys think, and if I should grab an extra on my way home for the price!

Looks very similiar to the SKS crate I have in my gunroom. I paid 30 for mine and sort of wish I'd bought another but no room to store it any way.

Soviet gun crate.

Holds 15x rifles - so probably a SKS or SVT crate (you can tell by length).

The dividers have been taken out (allows you to stack the rifles 5x each row) and the oil paper has been removed.

Great condition and there are lots of pics on the internet regarding how to convert one into a great a coffee table.

I use these crates to store milsup rifles (if I find them with the dividers) or just to store other kit such as uniforms.

Could be SKS/ Mosin Nagant.
I put 4 grenades under it as feet and use one as a coffee table.
