Lebaron in Markham has two, one in 308 and one in 223. Freak'in beautiful rifles!! The advertisement below doesn't do it justice.
Anybody with experience with them? How do they shoot?

Did you check their website? That's what I do when I want to learn about a gun.

:sok2 That's not a good way to learn anything but what they want to tell (sell) you and the basic specs. It looks like your getting a Tikka T3 Tac with a really nice stock. The guy who helped me with my barrel Sat has one in .308 and loves it. I see no reason why the sporter wouldn't be even better assuming you like the feel of the stock.

I'd tell you they're great but mine is based on the M-65 not the T-3. It is a really nice rifle. I like it enough that if I had the coin I'd consider a new one.

Most accurate factory rifle on the market, gives nothing up to the Sako. The price on the Tac is ridonkulous at Lebarons', over $2000. Some guy had a post in the Precision Rifle forum claiming that he knows a dealer selling the Sporter for $1400.

I hear you! I had a T-3 Varmit, it was picky about what it shot, but when it liked it it was stellar!

I think I recall something like that. It doesn't look like a bad price though if you compare it to the T-3 Tac. You may be able to get a better price though.

Yeah, it sold for $1799 + shipping.

So, the Lebaron price isn't so bad... and, I'll have to suck it up anyway... 'cause I JUST BOUGHT IT :)

Picking that mofo up tomorrow... super stoked.

Nice! I really like my Sporter, what I don't like is the round it's chambered for. :D I've #####ed about that enough though. Nice stock, nice trigger, just need to get some 4895 for some reduced loads. It's a shame the previous owner didn't leave it a .308 Win. I love the T-3 Sporter's stock. I'll be looking for a stock like that for my .223 one day.

If its anything like most Tikka rifles it should shoot well.
But the $1900 price tag gets you into the relm of a custom made rifle with most of the trimmings to make them individually yours!
Something to think about.

Just picked her up. Yeah, she'll do! I even have a Krieger barrel on order for a future change over to 7mm-08. I will be taking her to the range on Sunday to sight her in. Initial observations are that it is much better finished than my Savage 10BA, the stock is a thing of beauty, and the bolt is silky smooth. The rifle shares a number of similarities to my Sako Bavarian Carbine, but certainly a different animal. I would say overall quality is cut above an average Tikka and on par with my Sako 85.

It's a respin of Tikka 695 Master Sporter, a poor man's Sako TRG ;)

It's so good that I might buy one in 308 Win later this summer.
Extremely high resale value...

Alex

Funny you should mention that, as there was some "mature" dude picking up a $5000 green/phosphated TRG at Lebaron when I purchased the T3 Sporter. I just can't justify that cost, but I'm sure the TRG is amazing. For that amount of coin, I will build my own.
