Didn't you say you had 7mm Rems before Chucky? Did you shoot 5 shots a minute with it constantly? How long did the barrel last?
I have a very good factory barrel, why would I ruin it shooting fast? Just to make more noise? Nah Chucky, I got other guns better suited for that. I like shooting for accuracy, I'm not in any rush. I dragged that 12lb 7mm out to the range and put 3 rounds through it... that's it. Had 3 other rifles that saw 20-30 rounds each though.
You should see how slow we shoot at 1km...might only shoot 25-30 rounds all day, but they are all hits. Cold bore zero Chucky...that first shot is the one that counts.
I’m not sure why you guys get away with denigrating my name like you do. But anyway. I digress. The first shot is the one that counts. You are right. And you are essentially shooting one shot groups. Which is fine, but let’s not lose sight of what it is.
Any pictures of your one shot successes. Ones that stopped hearts?
I’m not talking about game shot at 1000 yds.
When have I smeared somebody’s name here?
As I noted much earlier in the thread; with heavier bullets all of the data favors 260 and 6.5 x 55; with light bullets of the same weight, the CM will yield a higher MV.
I believe we are comparing these cartridges in a short action, therefore, with heavy vld bullets the creedmoor would have the advantage as long as the barrel was throated properly.
Please. you're not innocent on the name calling around here.
Hey Chuck, how long is the barrel on your 280?
Show me where.

Enough drama already?
And now you have just pointed out a limitation of the CM....2.800 OAL to fit short action mag. That is the proper throating, there is no "long throating" on these.
I still think the best parent would have been the 284Win...
Smarty pants? I assume that’s not your name.
