I don't think you legally can go under .243 for deer hunting.
careful. You need to know, not think when you give out info. More than one province or territory allow .223 and several others, inc AB, state not less than .230 (if you decided to wildcat a new round you could legally do it).
hello i just woundering what the best cartridge is to buy for small game and have the capability of taking game all the way up to a deer?
Buy two guns.... no such thing as a cartridge that is "good" for both..... many cartridges will kill both... but leave nothing left of "small game" or be too weak for deer....
I second the vote on the 243 for deer and coyotes. However, a 223 and a 7mm rem mag would be ideal.hello i just woundering what the best cartridge is to buy for small game and have the capability of taking game all the way up to a deer?
6.5 x 55 Swedish and there's alot of surplus rifles in that caliber to be had for under $400.
