what cartridge would you love to see the CZ 527 carbine in?

.218 Bee, .25-20 Win, 6ppc. And nobody ever utter Mr friendly’s suggestion of no iron sights aloud around CZ! Best thing about the carbine is they haven’t forgotten a set of quality irons and called it an improvement.

I'm blind as a bat, so irons are no good, but if you enjoy them, all the more to you! :D

hey Archer, the 7.62x39 is well known to split the stock of the 527, so I suspect anything with higher recoil, even if braked, will likely cause issues. ;)

I have shot over well over 1000 rds from my cz 527 no stock cracks and its solid as anything. Could simply be luck of the draw and likely not being choosy on how they smooth out their wood with the grain. I figure at this point I would see some fault if it was going to happen.

you're lucky Phil...sold mine and it happened to the buyer immediately.

I felt bad, but when I looked it up, seems it is not uncommon. :yingyang:

I was worried about mine as I bought it 2nd hand from a fellow on here after his daughter didn't want to hunt with it. Came with 3 mags and Leopold rings.... I was disappointed when the first few rounds literally bounced out of the magazine in the air when cycling the bolt. Ran snap caps through it for a day then slammed some Chinese surplus through it 200rd because I was mad thinking I bought a junker.... rounds were 10inch MOA then after 100rds about 4 inch MOA now I can haphazardly aim and pull off 2inches and with really effort under 1 inch with all but the CanAm reloads which do about 1.5 inches.... it's been cleaned once with a few patches after about 600 rds. Lucky I guess. I suggest getting the walnut stock I'm not sure if there's differences but some of the stocks do look slightly different when there prices a bit lower than 900 dollars online...

Does anyone else wish there was a stainless version? I have the carbine barreled action in 7.62x39 but in a American stock. With a 2.5x leupold on it. My only gripe is it's not stainless.....

My only complaint about the cz527 in 7.62x39 is that I would like the bolt to be about 25% longer with a slightly bigger non on the end. Otherwise it's perfect.
