I just finished my 308 f-class project gun, remodelling the synthetic stock toke me forever. When I mount the optics cannot fit in any hard case I have couple ... Uhm.

Didn't bough a hardcase for couple years, looking at the piece prices ... this is getting crazy $$$

Many of us Fclass/TR shooters use the military stye drag bags made of thickly padded cordura, many accommodate two rifles.
They work well for taking stuff to and from the range.

I was just browsing online for dimensions, any 53" internal length may be tight. I am not sure if I can trust a softbag unless I remove the scope.
I have a BassPro also Cabela's stores nearby about 30+ minutes drive I would go to measure, but most of longer cases shown online only.

Edit:
When I was entertaining with the gun stock at one time I was tinkering about making it take down... but the Rem700 bedding is not really friendly with disconnecting...

A quality drag bad protects the scope well with no issues, as I said, MANY Fclass shooters use them.
Cadex builds a good one as well as other brands.

I have a couple of really old blow moulded plastic hard cases, the ones with aluminum extrusions around the edges. They're so old, the factories are probably long gone. The cases work for most target rifles, but not for anything with a loooonng barrel. Measure and buy prudently.

If you can't find anything suited, yup, go to nylon soft sides. If you are concerned about rigidity, one of my very first airplane trips with hunting rifles was made with a plastic case that I reinforced with 1/4" Masonite boards on the flats, sides and ends. It stiffened up harder than a honeymoon pr!ck.

Thanks guy, all valid comments.
I have couple soft and hard cases all 42 and under, for this long case 53+ I want to visit some stores reluctant to order online.

I just bought a Soft case for my FClass 32 “ barreled rifle from my LGS but i forgot the brand name But its Excellent quality and my rifle fits Well in it with a Delta Stryker HD 5-50x56 scope on it and cost was under $150 . I’m out fishing for a few days but I will get the name brand model Monday eve when I get home and post it up here ! RJ

I got the Vism dual rifle drag bag @ Tenda. Best budget option I could find. If I waited for a sale I would get the one at Cabela's.

I have a soft case with backpack straps, which makes the rifle a whole lot easier to hike with when parking and shooting positions aren't very close together.

I absolutely LOVE my Savior Specialist LRP. Heavy but very good protection in a soft bag.

I have a savior specialist too. I ordered mine from Amazon but they don’t sell them anymore. I have a hard case with cut out foam for one of my other rifles and it’s pretty much useless now because I don’t own the gun anymore. I tried to order new foam and that wouldn’t have been a problem in the USA, but here in Canada we get screwed. The bags are good for anything because you can move the straps around to fit whatever shape your gun is.

If cadex is made in Canada and reasonably priced than I’d buy one of those.

Try centerthergroup.com - I have 2 of their cases, but I have not ordered from them recently ... they make some good soft cases for F-Class rigs.

Now, if you really want to be a well-equipped F Class shooter, you need a pushcart with an umbrella mount to keep off the sun or rain, a lawnchair, and assorted other luxuries and necessities. Think way beyond just the rifle case!

Check out the AIM dragbags at site sponsor Nordic Marksman (“Gear” > “Cases” > “Soft”). Some F-class shooters use them.

I’m happy with mine — the protection is very good and they have good-quality detachable backpack straps. The prices have really gone up though, which is a shame.

Sound like you would need the AIM 55.

Center the Group gun cases are very good however they are no longer in business. I have a Cadex case to fit my Barnard rifle that is in an Elisio stock. Case weighs about 7 lbs before putting anything in it. I picked up 4 Cabela’s 3 gun soft cases that fit most of my target rifles with 30 inch barrels but just barely. My .223 has a 30 3/4” barrel for some reason, and does not fit. ( time to get out the hacksaw)
Life would be much easier if you could find 52” gun cases in stock somewhere.
As for a range cart, you will see more Tipke fold-it carts on the range that anything else.
