what colour to refinish my Norc Dork 1911A1C3P0 Tactical Night Elf Pro Carry Elite?

black is boring. or at least blued is boring. meh. gonna rip the Norc apart, sandblast the frame and slide, and refinish / repaint it. suggest a color!!! something interesting. not pink or yellow or Kawasaki green.


could do flat black (yawn)
OD frame and black slide
tan frame and darker slide
arctic white
...


no poll, just speak up and maybe post a pic if there's something interesting (but not ### engraved with nekkid chix on it, and no digital camo crap, that's a nasty-arse pattern)

Been thinking about this for a bit ( for my 1911) was toying around the idea of a Dark grey/battleship grey frame with a black slide.

When you decided I'm sure you'll put up pictures right?

I was giving some thought to Armacoating a 1911 slide and frame in white, leaving the controls black. Kind of a Stormtrooper-ish looking theme... Might be interesting. It would be different for sure and if you don't like it, it is easy enough to change it.

hmm, thinking & visualizing...

flat white (or slightly off-white) frame & slide, medium / light gray controls & sights (flat black along the sight line, no dots), and possibly a flat black / gray "skunk stripe" along top of slide to minimize chance of glare (though with flat paint everywhere it might not be needed)

I am just Armacoating a couple of guns. Great product to work with & the results are looking very good so far.

The colors can also be mixed to get your own custom colors . Also if you don't like the color when it is finished, it is easy to go over it with a different color.

I might change my demo glock to a Dark Earth Slide and and coyote Brown Frame, with Black accents . I think those two colors really look good if you like the browns. Or a Dark earth slide and frame with Black accents, I have that done on a M4 and it's very slick looking. The olive green and Black combo goes well.

step 1 is nearly done - remove sights!!! this Norc is gonna be sightless, for starters. came across some old training stuff where the trainees were basically using guns with sights removed, to train their eye and develop an "instinct" for quick aiming

the gun is NOT gonna be red or pink, but i did think about flat or satin black slide and rust / copper color on the frame, with black controls. the top of the slide will probably get a small drop of paint in place of the front sight, almost like a bead.

and if this works out, i might end up with another project gun
