Hey guys, just a quick question here. I've been shopping and thanks to my tax returns:rockOn: and the money i've been saving up i'm ready to purchase my first. I've hesitated over quite a few models from glocks to berettas and a few others but everyone i've ever talked to keeps pointing me to CZ. My only problem is that i've noticed that what comes in the box differs from model to model and place to place, from coming with a cable lock or not, and coming with two or three mags. So my question is what is supposed to come with an CZ SP-01 Shadow, or a CZ SP-01 Shadow Line? Those are the two guns i'm interested in and i'm leaning heavily towards the Shadow Line (is this the better option?). Thank you all for your input.

Hi there.
I just picked up my new SP-01 Shadow a couple of weeks ago, and took it to the range for the first time last weekend. Mine came with 3 mags, an extra recoil spring, plastic patch rod, bore brush (plastic), instruction manual and CD. No lock, but the dealer threw in a trigger lock for free. Everything comes in a factory hard plastic case, but it's too slim for practical use (won't close with my trigger lock on).
I love the gun - great groups (shoots way better than I do), very little recoil, and has cycled every type of factory ammo I've tried so far. The grip may be a bit chunky for some, but fits my hands (probably slightly bigger than average) perfectly. I haven't held a Shadow Line, but my understanding is that they come with aluminum grips (vs rubber on the Shadow), and the grip is slimmer than the Shadow.
Hope that helps - happy shopping!

Hi,
I just picked up a Sp-01 Shadow couple of weeks ago, it came with 3 mags, plastic patch rod, metal bore brush, instruction manual, CD and a extra main spring. I really like the case it came with from the factory but just like BigE23 said the case wont close with a trigger lock.

+1
Although I find that I am able to squeez a trigger lock in tight if I don't care about the bulge. Itll almost stay completly closed, and then I can lock the case and it is fine.

Thanks guys good to know. Can anyone speak for the shadow line?

Fantastic gun, I bought one a few weeks ago and have only taken it out once. Put about 60 rounds down range and its a great firearm. Feels good, accurate out of the box, and just great build quality.

I say if you want a steel pistol in 9mm its the way to go.

My SP01 Shadow came with everything George and BigE listed. I also like the factory case, it fits my Shadow and 4 mags and I can just close mine (with no bulge) and the centre tab in place. I use a Bellock combination trigger lock which has the lowest profile I could find, and then lock the case with a Samsonite luggage lock.
