What could this M1 carbine be worth?

looks like the barrel has an extension added and concealed by the front sight....they were legally non-restricted in some provinces back in the day...

That's just a machining step.

Barrel looks longer because it doesn't have a bayo lug sleeve.

I've seen some recent adds of ~ $1000 + for arsenal refurbs., and over the last several years they have been consistently around $800 +.
Considering it is a pretty rare find to find one not arsenal refinished with the added bayonet lug and adjustable rear aperture site, I'd wager a guess at north of that - say $1400-1500

Thanks for all of the comments.

This is a photo of an M1 carbine that I sold in January 2020.
It was an Inland carbine in a Rock-Ola stock.
It shows the Bavaria Rural Police marking.

rifle has had parts replaced the safety is not made by inland but by IBM what's the oprod bolt, trigger housing trigger hammer and sear marked?

is there any wear on barrel finish past barrel band (sometimes people remove and replace with original type barrel band)

mags are common 2 inland and an underwood

All of which could easily have been done during an FTR or even in the field. Especially if it went to another nation, such as Germany and Austria.

I had one that had the rear sight mount milled off and a tangent type sight installed just in front of the receiver, in front of a modified hand guard.

Magazines were not always kept with the rifles they were issued with.

IMHO, you're splitting hairs to a ridiculous point.

However, you are very knowledgeable about the parts themselves.

you are correct I am splitting hairs

the mags were/are never kept with the m1 carbines they were made by many manufactures and those in the pic are very common so nothing special some mags are very rare

I very recently sold a Quality Hardware Manufacturing Corp. M1 carbine in excellent original condtion for $800. Judging by the response I got & the speed it sold at I probably priced it too cheap. QHMC M1s are far less common than Inland (which made the most) but mine only came with 1 mag, sling and oiler so I would think that yours with the accesories would be fairly priced at $1000-1100.
