What CRF action to use as a donor?

My CRF M70 Winchester and M77 Ruger rifles have no problem dropping a round into the chamber, but it is advised to mag feed only in my Husqvarna HVA. The Husqvarna is a nice light CRF action with a 2 position thumb safety. The original triggers are not great, but I heard a Huber can be used?

Damn, that's quite the experience !! Glad you won.

Charged by lioness in an area that was supposed to be lion free in SA. "Knowing" there was nothing around to worry about strolled around the savanna with an empty chamber in my rifle. I literally dropped a round in the chamber and shot in a panic. There would not have been enough time to feed through the mag box as most CRF rifles require.
Hit her between the eyes, she landed 2 feet from me after bouncing off the Landcruiser. Would love to claim expert marksmanship but in reality it was 100% sh!thouse luck only.

Maybe I should just get another Scout rifle. It comes close to what I want, I was just disappointed with the rough action. Even though I did get it smoothed out a bit, it still didn't come close to the M70.

You know me, I’d agree with this.

A couple nights working the action with some “Blue Magic”, and a bunch of rounds down the pipe.... that roughness will be gone. It will however, never be as smooth as the M70.

What about a Coyote Light with a Drop mag kit?

I've got a pile of CRF.rifles, not a single one of which won't effortlessly chamber single cartridges. There's no reason to put up
with crap like that.

These days I'd go with a FN M70 or Kimber.action.

Defiance makes a CRF action if you want to spend a bit more. Same caveat applies to the Dakota.

The extractor of a CZ550 will not jump over the rim. Was helping a new shooter at the range with a shell stuck in the chamber of his brand new CZ 30/06. I could not get the extractor to jump over the rim, even by squeezing the back part of the extractor. The front edge of the extractor hardly had any bevel to it. I informed the owner that he can only feed cartridges from the magazine.
I'm going to have to dig out my 550 in 416 Rigby to see if it will single feed a dropped in cartridge. I can't remember if it does.
