What current production 1911 is the closet to the original

Just wondering for anyone who has experience collecting the original 1911's before everyone started making copy's which current production models are near to the originals. I assume it's a colt but I wanted to ask.

By this I mean the original John Browning's design. Is it even possible to buy one like that any more as a new product.

I have a Canadian Contract 1911 from 1914. The Colt-made 01911 Carbonia is as close as yer gonna get to that...........But it was done 2 or more years ago.

The Anniversary Model 01911ANVIII just ain't the same.
