Hi, quick question. I have a Mosin Nagant and want to reload for it as in my local, 7.62x54R is not easy to come by and I don't shoot enough to warrant buying a case. Anyway, I slugged the barrel and am getting .314-.3145. For cast I know to go a little bigger but my question is if I purchase FMJs what size seems to be the most common for reloaders?

Thanks

I would certainly think that a 7.54x54R bullet would be hard to find. I can't see that any of company lists them. What would that be in inches? Definitely smaller than a .30.

However, I am sure you meant 7.62 x 54Rmm which h would be. 311-.313 range, so any good. 303 bullet would work.

My bad...brain fart 7.62x54R....corrected above

I started loading for a Mosin with a bit sloppy bore, using .312 Hornadys. Then I found out that it is superior shooting in all my rifles, good or sloppy bores. Now thats all I load with.

I'd be careful in case it slugs out to .308

My Mosin Nagant 91/30 slugs out to .312 but I doubt if my Baikal IZH-18MH 7.62x54R would do the same.
