What did a deer licence cost when you first started hunting?

NS probably around 1988 think it was around $11 but the memory is fuzzy ( Friday night too isn't helping!)

My first deer licence cost $4.00.

I bought my first BC hunting licence in 1962,not sure what it cost but I think $5 and the metal tag was $1.They were stamped with letters and numbers and closed much like a snap tie.There was supposed to be some guy who knew how to jimmy them open, but with 3 tags that wasn't an issue...deer season was 3 months long and 'antlerless' was 2 weeks.Moose was the same, no LEH either..Now we have about one third of the hunters and LEH ...

Deer tag in BC in 1963 was 50 cents, so I assume it was the same in 1962. Bear tags were free as I recall. They were just trying to get a handle on the harvest level.

I can't remember hunting licenses but they were cheap in NB and fishing license were free. In fact you didn't even need one until 1988.
