I traded my Nickle S&W Model 29-2 even for a Kimber Classic Stainless Target. My new Kimber looks very similar to the one in this photo. Why did I trade my M29-2? The answer is simple; if I shoot a lot of 44 Mag full loads I want it to be in my Ruger Super BlackHawk as it soaks up the recoil better than a S&W N-Frame and I shoot more 1911 45acps. Looks very nice. I'm a big fan of the 1911 (like many of us haha). I've never handled a kimber, how does it feel shape/weight wise? Range report? You can never have too many 1911's haha.
 
Richard, we must be 'kindred spirits'...
I had to trade my 629 away...even mildly 'stout' 44Special loads were getting a little much for my aging 'chassis'!
The Kimber Targets are very nice...I had one in 38Super once...It's one gun I regret trading away........
